BY PLACING YOUR ORDER YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The time required to prepare your order for posting varies, but usually the turnaround time is approx. 2 weeks from when the hair is received if you are sending hair or, 2 weeks from when the order is placed if using our stock of hair.
Please keep this time frame in mind when placing your order.
If you require your order urgently please contact us.
All orders are manufactured in the order the hair is received.
Return postage is by Australia Post, a tracking number will be supplied with 24 hours of posting.
Also, we urge you to create an account to log in to track the current status of your order.
RETURNS OR REFUNDS
Due to the nature of these hand made custom items, unless they arrive defective, we cannot accept returns or process refunds.
Returns or refunds will not be accepted for any Custom Horse Hair Jewellery piece, Sterling Silver or Gold piece that has been damaged (Bent, Dinted, Scratched, Broken, Frayed, Snapped etc) by you, especially after wearing even for a short time.
If the end caps or clasps are defective, the buyer is responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in it’s original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Please ensure your measurements are accurate, if your item is too big or small it cannot be changed and no responsibility will be taken by us (The Seller).
Furthermore, We (The Seller) are not responsible for any missing or damaged items due to Australia Post.
TARNISHING is a natural occurence even the oils on your skin can wear down the plating and metals over time – and this will vary from person to person.
CUSTOM HORSE HAIR PIECES
DO NOT SEND YOUR ENTIRE STOCK OF TREASURED HORSEHAIR. PLEASE KEEP SOME IN RESERVE.
All care is taken in the preparation, handling and braiding of your horses hair. However some hair may be brittle and or in poor condition and therefore may break or fray after the braiding process. No responsibility by us will be taken in this instance. If you are supplying your treasured hair please keep this in mind.
Mane hair is often quite thin, short and fragile. A braid made from mane hair, consequently will not hold as strongly together like a braid made from tail hair.
Mane hair is unsuitable on its own for bracelets.
The mane hair coupled with and mixed with tail hair will result in added strength for bracelets, customers must ensure it will be the required length. Our range of Lockets and Pendants are perfect for customers with only mane hair.
If customers are supplying Mane hair only, Mane Attraction – Custom Horse Hair Jewellery will not be responsible for any fraying/breaking etc of the mane hair in your piece. If you are supplying treasured mane hair please keep this in mind and you do so at your own risk.
Tail hair is thick and very strong therefore making it the ideal hair to use for jewellery.
We do NOT recommend to wear any piece ;
- Near any abrasive material
- Whilst working with chemicals, cleaners, acetone (nail polish) etc
- Whilst swimming or bathing etc. Do NOT get your piece wet.
- Around anything that may catch or snag
To avoid Tarnishing, keep away from:
- Excessive sweat, this may enhance tarnishing
- Substances containing sulfur (latex, wool, eggs, mustard, etc.)
- Direct sunlight
- Hairspray
- Lotions
- Perfumes
Some tarnishing may occur on the Gold, Silver, Rose Gold plated or toned findings. This is out of our control and no responsibility by us will be taken.
TARNISHING is a normal reaction, even the oils on your skin can wear down the plating and metals over time – and this will vary from person to person. At the end of the day, fashion jewelry is prone to tarnishing. Only pure silver is naturally resistant to tarnishing however pure silver is far too soft to be used for jewelry
Some tarnishing may be removed by a Silver Polishing Cloth, we urge you to take proper care of your piece to keep it looking beautiful.
These pieces are made from hair which will naturally wear quicker than metal jewellery, therefore it is assumed they will not be an everyday piece of jewellery.
Some glues may start to yellow over time, this is normal.
We do not manufacture the clasps, ends or findings used in our pieces.
Because these are hand made products, some differences may occur between the pictures and the actual product received.
STERLING SILVER AND GOLD PIECES
Mane Attraction will not be liable for any damage (Bending, Knocks, Dints, Breakages, Scratches etc) caused by you for any of our Sterling Silver or Gold Jewellery or pieces. All Sterling Silver and Gold metal is soft and malleable by nature, this is not a product fault.
Returns or exchanges will not be accepted on non-manufacturing faults.
Mane Attraction does not cover damage resulting from:
- Accidents
- Mishandling
- Knocks, Dints, Breakages, Bending
- Normal Wear, Tear and Scratches
- Ageing & Natural Tarnishing
- Corrosion
- Incorrect Storage
Sterling Silver is a soft and relatively delicate metal, therefore pieces should not rub up against each other, other types of metal or any harsh surfaces as they will scratch, wear and even distort. Nor should they ever take too much weight or force, because only a light pressure can bend your piece. You should also avoid harsh chemicals from coming into contact with your Sterling Silver Jewellery.
You must keep your Sterling Silver Jewellery away from:
- Household chemicals
- Chlorinated or Salt water
- Rubber
- Substances containing sulfur (latex, wool, eggs, mustard, etc.)
- Direct sunlight
- Hairspray
- Lotions
- Perfumes
The bracelets are designed to be altered to your size once, therefore damage caused by excessive bending will not be viewed as a product fault.
Also, as with all jewellery, excessive heat can distort or warp your piece and therefore should be avoided.
